This programme is currently available on Monday afternoons. A limited number spaces are available to cater for children aged 4.

These lessons are a combination of my teaching techniques for preschool children and the piano lessons I give for children over 5 years. This combination continues to grow the musical child whilst providing tuition in a specific instrument.

Each lesson a series of specially prepared "Practise Points" will be given to the child to be worked on throughout the week with an interested parent or caregiver. The combination will be unique to your child to provide a comprehensive knowledge of the elements of music.

This fun programme is intended for children who have shown musical skills, and have a desire to learn at a younger age than most piano teachers will take on students. The year of learning starts out at 80% musical play and 20% piano with the opposite percentage being acheived by age 5.

Requirements

Acceptance onto the programme will follow an informal meeting. I will assess if your child is ready for the programme. I will also explain your contribution and the importance of supporting your child's practise.

Prices and lesson times

Early Start Piano lessons are held on Monday afternoons.

$220 per term individual

$300 per term shared (2 in class)

Includes:

30 minute individual/shared lesson each week of term (broadly follow primary school year)

All teaching materials (most to keep, others loaned)

1 Pre-Piano Club meeting per semester to share and perform

Lists of music for further listening

Written progress report each term
